How It Started. Why We Care.
I started The Bath Shop because I had an opportunity to work with Winners, HomeSense, and Marshalls. We started with a simple everyday hand wash that was affordable, worked well, and smelled great. Lemon Verbena and White Cotton are still going after ten years (Original Hand Wash Collection).
What set us apart was the glass and ceramic dispensers we used. At the time, they were unique enough for us to build a business around them, and we did.
I was new to the industry and didn’t know much about formulas, surfactants, extracts, etc. Over time, I learned more about the ingredients we used, learned what each ingredient does, and became more particular about the ingredients I wanted us to use. Having children also changed how I looked at the products we offered, so I decided I wanted us to make something I would use for my own family and offer that to others.
That’s how our current collection came about. That same principle guides every new product we offer today. Through it all, it’s always been Good Soap, Great Scents, Made for Everyday Care.
