Our 3# hardwood molds break away into five pieces, and it includes two metal bolts, washers, and wingnuts to hold it together. It holds 48oz+ of liquid and will cut into 12 - 1 inch bars, with a small off cut left over. The dimensions are 12 1/2L - 3 3/8W - 2 1/2H, on the inside. It is recommended that you line your entire mold for easy removal of your soap, although it is not necessary. It's easiest to line the mold when it's disassembled with either suran wrap, another soft plastic, or freezer paper; then reassemble the mold for use. After you pour your soap into the mold, cover with more suran wrap or freezer paper and cover with towels to insulate; although, insulation is not necessary with these molds. Allow your soap to stay in the mold 24-48 hours before removal. These molds can be washed with warm water and will not warp; it is not recommended these molds be immersed in water for a long period of time. These molds are made with a hardwood, not pine, and will last a lifetime!
Our soap cutters are a perfect fit for the soap made with our log molds. The cutting grids are spaced at 1 inch apart, and can be special ordered at different widths. The cutter can be washed with warm water; it is not recommended it be immersed in water for a long period of time.
